Workshop flooring FAQs

Q1: Will the tiles be marked by car tyres?

Almost any flooring is affected by this, including bare concrete and vinyl. It’s caused by a chemical called 6PPD found in tyres, which can leave a grey-green mark within a few hours of a tyre sitting still. It’s a surface reaction only and won’t affect the tile’s durability or lifespan — and it’s far less noticeable on darker colours such as our popular Graphite finish.

Q2: Can it be installed without screed or adhesive?

Yes — the tiles are designed for fast, straightforward installation with no need for screed, adhesives or a damp-proof membrane.

Q3: Is it suitable for MOT bays and vehicle lifts?

Yes — the flooring is built to cope with axle stands, jacks, workshop tools and is ideal around vehicle lifts and MOT bays.

Q4: What colours are available, and does colour affect tyre marking?

We offer a wide range of colours and finishes. Since tyre marks show up as a grey-green stain, they’re much less visible on darker shades — we’d recommend these for areas where vehicles will be parked if you want to include brighter colours elsewhere.
